Spray Foam Contractor Insurance, built for the desert.

Most contractor policies exclude the chemical, pollution, and equipment risks unique to spray foam. We write coverage that actually does — General Liability, Workers' Comp, CPL for isocyanates, and your spray rig — for SPF crews across Arizona.

What we insure

Eight lines of coverage, written specifically for spray foam contractors.

A generalist policy leaves isocyanate claims, rig damage, and pollution losses uncovered. We build programs that close those gaps.

Why contractors switch to us

The coverage gaps that cost SPF contractors the most.

Most agents hand a spray foam crew a generic contractor policy and call it done. Then an isocyanate claim hits and the exclusion kicks in. We underwrite the parts of your work everyone else leaves out.

Former contractor on staff

Josh Cotner ran rigs and filed certificates before founding CCA in 2005. He reads your loss runs and knows exactly what a proportioner costs to replace.

We actually understand isocyanates

Standard GL policies carry pollution exclusions that void isocyanate and off-gassing claims. We write contractors pollution liability that closes that gap — the single biggest coverage hole for SPF contractors.

Your spray rig is insured correctly

A proportioner, hose bundle, and generator can run six figures. Generic inland marine under-values it. We schedule equipment at replacement cost and cover it in transit, at the yard, and on site.

Built for Arizona desert conditions

Heat-illness claims, monsoon-driven water intrusion, and rooftop duct-sealing exposure are real here. Our programs reflect how Tucson and Phoenix crews actually work in 110°+ conditions.

Run by a former contractor

Josh Cotner spent years in the trades before founding Contractors Choice Agency in 2005. He's read the specs, run the rigs, and filed the certificates — he speaks your language.

We place the hard risks

Been non-renewed over a vapor-exposure claim, a loss run, or an OSHA citation? We have E&S and specialty markets for contractors other agencies won't touch.

Bundled programs, honest pricing

Coordinated GL, workers' comp, CPL, and equipment often cost less together than your current standalone policy — and cover dramatically more. No filler, no coverage you don't need.

How it works

From quote request to bound policy in about a day.

No back-and-forth for two weeks. A real conversation, real markets, and a program you can actually understand — built around your spray foam operation.

Step 01

Tell us about your SPF operation

A 15-minute call or quote form. We learn your crew size, equipment, the jobs you bid (new build, retrofit, commercial, roof-deck), and the carriers that have declined you.

Step 02

We shop A-rated specialty markets

Most generalist agents have one or two markets. We have relationships with the E&S and admitted carriers that actually write spray foam — including the CPL and isocyanate coverage most exclude.

Step 03

Bind a program built for SPF

GL + workers' comp + contractors pollution liability + equipment, coordinated so there are no gaps between your completed-operations and your pollution coverage.

Step 04

Claims support that answers fast

When a loss hits — overspray on a car, a heat-illness claim, a proportioner damaged on site — you reach a person, not a queue. 2-hour claims response, every time.

From Arizona SPF contractors

Contractors who stopped fighting their insurance company.

After two carriers dropped us over isocyanate vapor exposure, CCA placed us with an A-rated program that actually understood SPF. The pollution liability coverage was the difference between bidding commercial work and sitting out.

Marcus T.

Owner, SPF crew · Tucson, AZ

Josh's crew knows spray rigs. When my proportioner got damaged on a jobsite, the inland marine claim was handled in days, not weeks. No nickel-and-diming.

Operations lead · Phoenix, AZ

They quoted my GL, workers' comp, and pollution policy in under 20 minutes — bundled, cheaper than my old standalone policy. Worth the call.

Questions, answered

Spray foam insurance, in plain English.

Two reasons. First, the isocyanate component in spray polyurethane foam is treated as a pollutant, and most general liability policies exclude pollution — meaning off-gassing, vapor migration, and indoor-air-quality claims aren't covered. Second, SPF carries elevated completed-operations and fire-risk exposure during installation. Specialty carriers that understand the trade are willing to write it; we have those relationships.

For any contractor applying spray polyurethane foam, CPL is effectively essential. Without it, a single off-gassing or odor claim from a homeowner can fall entirely on you. Many commercial general contractors and home builders now require SPF subcontractors to carry CPL before they'll hire them. We can write it as a standalone policy or package it with your GL.

It depends on your payroll, revenue, crew size, equipment value, loss history, and the mix of residential vs. commercial work. A small two-person residential crew typically pays less than a crew bidding commercial roof-deck and warehouse jobs. Because we shop multiple specialty markets, we'll show you real side-by-side quotes in about 15 minutes — call 844-967-5247.

Yes. We schedule spray equipment — proportioner, transfer pumps, hose bundles, generators, and the rig itself — on an inland marine / equipment policy at replacement cost. Coverage follows the equipment whether it's at your yard, in transit between Tucson and Phoenix, or staged on a jobsite.

Often, yes. Non-renewals over a pollution claim, an isocyanate exposure, a loss run, or an OSHA citation are common in this trade and don't automatically disqualify you. We have access to excess-and-surplus (E&S) and specialty admitted markets built specifically for harder-to-place contractors. Tell us what happened and we'll find a home for your coverage.

Contractors Choice Agency is licensed in all 50 states (NPN #8608479), so we can write your Arizona operation and follow you if you expand into New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, or beyond. One agent, one program, wherever the work takes you.
